When you specify your passphrase, that passphrase is used to encrypt and decrypt your data. Because only you know your passphrase, your data is safely stored and can be read by only you. DON’T LOSE YOUR PASSPHRASE. If you uninstall and reinstall the app, you’ll need to use the same passphrase, otherwise, you won’t be able to retrieve your passwords. SECURING YOUR DEVICE It is highly recommended that if you have access to sensitive data on your device, i.e. passwords, bank accounts, brokerage accounts, etc., that you secure your device with a PIN.
