This app plays musical chords in a unique and interesting way. It randomizes the rhythm and octave of each note in the chord to create an interesting texture. You can adjust the speed from slow (a more spacey texture) to fast (more of a "bubbly" texture). There are currently two sounds, either a smooth tone (sine waves) or a harsh tone (sawtooth waves). The chords are laid out in a grid system with related chords close to each other. Turn the system on, by pressing the power button. The app defaults to playing a single "C" note so that you know it has started correctly. If you wish it to start right on the correct chord, press that chord name before turning it on. Then go ahead and play the chords: improvise through different chords, play a new version of your favorite song, or write your own song! Adjust volume, speed, and range of the pitches in real-time for more expressivity. Turn the power off for a rest in the music (the notes decay naturally end instead of cutting off abruptly). And on again to continue where you left off, or change chords before turning it back on. This is a brand new app, so please email me with suggestions and ideas for future versions. I'd also love to see and hear performances with this app! Please send them along as well! There will be a much more powerful version with much greater features coming soon in a "premium" version.
